I have heard that this is manufactured from the innards of real turtles. Some of you might call me some kind of "animal rights nut", but I can't help but think of the native turtles being de-shelled and slaughtered just so people can have shiny cars.

I think that if some of you actually saw what goes on in a turtle wax mill, I think you might think twice about how important the shine on your car is. You might consider becoming a vegan like me too. What if turtles suddenly decided to start shining their shells with "People Wax"? You wouldn't be too happy about that would you?

This stuff is available everywhere for cheap. It is very difficult to work with. Buffing it off creates a huge mess and a lot of effort is required. The shine it provides is pretty good but only lasts about a week at most. After that the water beading properties seem to go away. Spend your money on something from Mothers or Meguiars and you'll be greeted with a longer lasting shine that is easier to work with.

When I was in my early twenties I worked as a porter for a car dealership detailing cars. My boss encouraged me to try different products, and I found I liked 3M waxes the best. I was in the store the other day and needed some wax, but they didn't carry 3M products. So I saw this stuff for only a quarter of the price that I normally spend on 3M wax. So I decided to give it a try. This wax hardened up like it had been left in the sun and took me an hour and a half to buff out. I threw it away afterworlds and will go buy some 3M now. Turtle wax is the worst wax I have ever used. I would have been fired if I used this at the dealership.

The shine is great. It took some work to buff it off with a towel by hand, but it was worth it.

No turtles are used in the making of Turtle Wax as mentioned in a previous review. That's just ridiculous.
