ReplyDeletebought the product to fix what i consider to be a minor scratch. the wax pencil flaked and fell off & the polish was ineffective...if you have a scratch that needs to be fixed i recommend going to an auto parts store to find a touch-up paint kit.

ReplyDeleteI've used this for two cars now, and it's pretty helpful. It's much better than those other scratch removing products, which I've had no luck with. It comes in a large bottle that should last awhile, along with a waxy crayon that fills in the majority of the scratch. The liquid is basically just a colored wax that finishes off the repair. It's much easier and of course cheaper than repainting, but be aware that it's not a permanent fix. You'll have to use it nearly every time you wax, as it wears off just like wax does. But it does reduce the appearance of small scratches and chips, which is what it's supposed to do. Worth it.

ReplyDeletethis product works.. I let the chipstik wax sit for about 1 week. then after I washed the card, I noticed the scratch was colored in.

ReplyDelete...in retrospect I should have purchased the black color instead of the blue, as it probably would have been closer in shade to the midnight blue vehicle I have. This color is a medium blue, and while it does a good job on the very small scratches you can definitely notice the color difference on the larger scratches where you have to use the crayon. It still looks better than the primer does, but I believe the black would have blended better.
Still, the wax lasts 2-3 months in the Florida sun and salt laced environment, so for its cost and utility it's a deal.
The most important thing, however, when cleaning the interior of you vehicle is to test the products on small areas before you apply to the whole surface.Car Wash Tools
